Disclosure: This page includes an optional sponsored offer: if you complete an offer from our partner (OGAds) to unlock the printable bonus, we earn a commission. We don't get paid by any app or company named in our guides.

How it works

  1. Read the guidePick a guide below. Each one is free to read and takes a few minutes.
  2. Optional: pick one sponsored offerTap Unlock and choose one offer from our partner, such as installing an app or completing a survey. Time and steps depend on the offer you pick, so only choose one that genuinely interests you.
  3. Get the printable reward app trackerOnce the sponsor confirms your offer, you're taken to the printable reward app tracker. Confirmation isn't always instant.

Free: the 15-minute subscription check-up

A printable checklist for finding the subscriptions and recurring charges you've forgotten about, and for cancelling or downgrading them. Join our email list and the checklist opens right away.

We haven't started sending emails yet. When we do, expect a few a month at most: new guides, reminders and occasionally a sponsored offer, always labeled. Every email will have an unsubscribe link. We store only your email address, the list you joined, the page and the date, and we never sell or share it. See our privacy policy.

Search "apps that pay you" and you'll find big promises. This site does the opposite: it explains what apps, survey sites and small gigs really pay per hour, what they cost you in time and data, and how to avoid the scams that target people looking for extra money. Facts come from official sources such as IRS.gov and the FTC, and from each company's own published terms.

Reality check: apps, surveys and gigs can add a little extra money. Most people earn small amounts, and none of this is a reliable income. We never promise a payout, and we don't list anything that asks you to pay to start.

Three rules that apply to everything here

1. Never pay to get paid

Fees to start, deposits to withdraw and "upgrades" to unlock earnings are the signature of scams. See the 9 red flags.

2. Measure your real hourly rate

Rewards received divided by all the time spent. It's the only fair way to compare an app with a gig.

3. Keep records for tax

Side income is taxable even without a form. What to track in 2026.

Bonus: Printable reward app tracker + real hourly rate worksheet

A printable kit from our sister site, Reward Apps Guide: a tracker for minutes, points and payouts per app, a worksheet that turns points into a real hourly rate, a red-flag checklist and your own stop rules.

How the unlock works: to get the bonus you'll be asked to try one sponsored app or offer from our partner. It's optional, the guides here are complete without it, and the sponsor pays us when you complete their offer. Only do it if the offer genuinely interests you.
